From the airport to Antwerp centre
Every way into Antwerp from the airport, with the price, the journey time and the first and last departure, so a late landing holds no surprises.

Most visitors fly into Brussels Airport: a direct train takes you to Antwerpen-Centraal in 31 minutes (twice an hour on weekdays, last direct train 23:41). Flibco coaches from Brussels Airport and Charleroi stop at Franklin Rooseveltplaats, next to the station.

We count 30 minutes from landing to the platform or stop (passport, bags).
✈️ Brussels Airport (BRU)
Brussels Airport in Zaventem is about 45 km from Antwerp and has by far the most flights. The direct train is the easy choice; the Flibco coach can be cheaper if you book a fixed time.

🚆 Train (SNCB)
- 💶 Price: fare + €6.90 supplement · Most tickets already include the €6.90 Brussels Airport Supplement; the SNCB app or the machine shows the full price. Children under 12 travel free with an adult.
- ⏱️ Time: 31 min
- 🔁 How often: 2 direct an hour on weekdays, 1 at weekends
- 🕔 First – last: 05:41 – 23:41 (weekend 05:40 – 23:39) · direct trains, October 2026 timetable; one later train with a change leaves at 23:42. Check the SNCB app on the day
- 🛫 Leaves from: The station on level -1, right under the terminal (escalator or lift)
- 📍 Arrives at: Antwerpen-Centraal, direct, no change
- 🎫 Ticket: SNCB app, belgiantrain.be or the machines in the station and the baggage hall. Since 1 July 2026 you can no longer buy a ticket on the train. Scan the QR code at the gates.
- Works cut the number of airport trains a few times a year: check the SNCB app before you fly.
🚐 Flibco coach
- 💶 Price: from €4.99 · online; the price depends on the date and how early you book. Hand luggage and checked bags are included.
- ⏱️ Time: 50 min
- 🔁 How often: several a day: check the timetable
- 🛫 Leaves from: The Flibco stop at Brussels Airport: the stop is on your ticket
- 📍 Arrives at: Franklin Rooseveltplaats (stop B5), next to Antwerpen-Centraal
- 🎫 Ticket: flibco.com or the Flibco app. Miss your bus after a delayed flight and you can take the next one, if there is room.
- Flibco changes its timetable at the end of October and the end of March: check the times for your date.
🚕 Taxi and ride apps
- 📍 Where: Official taxis wait outside the arrivals hall. Antwerp is about 45 km away: agree on the price before you leave, or book a fixed-price transfer.
- 📱 Ride apps: Uber and Bolt work at Brussels Airport; the app shows the price before you book.
🌙 Landing late at night
The last direct train leaves at 23:41 (23:39 at weekends), and a train with a change at 23:42. After that only a taxi or a ride app gets you to Antwerp.
🛫 Going back to the airport
Take the direct train from Antwerpen-Centraal (about 30 min; the €6.90 supplement applies this way too) or Flibco from Franklin Rooseveltplaats. The airport advises arriving 2 hours before a flight within Europe and 3 hours before an intercontinental one.
✈️ Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL)
Charleroi airport, used by budget airlines, is about 100 km from Antwerp. Flibco runs a direct coach; bus A1 plus the train needs two changes.

- 📍 Arrives at: Franklin Rooseveltplaats (stop B5), next to Antwerpen-Centraal, no stops on the way

🚌 Bus A1 + train
- 💶 Price: €6 bus + train fare · The Charleroi Airport bus ticket is sold separately from the train ticket, in the SNCB app, online or at a machine.
- 🔁 How often: bus 4 an hour
- 🛫 Leaves from: The bus stop in front of the terminal: bus A1 to Charleroi-Central (about 20 min), then the train via Brussels
- 📍 Arrives at: Antwerpen-Centraal
- Since 4 July 2026 the airport buses no longer stop at Luttre or Fleurus: change at Charleroi-Central.
🌙 Landing late at night
Flibco is not a 24-hour service and bus A1 stops at about 23:30. After a late landing, a taxi to Antwerp is very expensive: consider a night near the airport.
🛫 Going back to the airport
Flibco leaves from Franklin Rooseveltplaats (stop B5) and takes about 1 hour 45: book ahead and add time for traffic.
✈️ Antwerp Airport (ANR)
The small city airport in Deurne, about 5 km from the centre, with a few flights a day. A De Lijn bus runs to Berchem station; taxis wait outside the terminal.

- 📍 Arrives at: Antwerpen-Berchem station, then the train to Antwerpen-Centraal
- The line number changed in 2026: check the bus to Berchem in the De Lijn app.
